Evidence-Based Psychotherapy & Counseling

At Mental Health Solutions, we understand that there is no "one-fits-all" technique. As such, we feel that to approach therapy from this perspective is a disservice. Rather, we use the latest research, evidence, and clinical expertise in establishing an Evidence-Based Practice that adjusts to match your uniqueness and preferred style. Our goal is to use science, compassion, and understanding to meet you where you are at.

We offer individual, family, and group psychotherapy, and counseling for Children & Adolescents (ages 10-17); and Adults & Older Adults (ages 18-70).

Therapy sessions typically last between 45-60 minutes. Length and frequency of sessions depends on need, treatment goals, and progress. Most concerns are resolved with short-term therapy (10-12 sessions). However, more complex issues will require long-term therapy and engagement before desired change is achieved.

Our mission is to help you. We have relationships with a multitude of therapists and psychologists throughout the Twin Cities Metro Area. If we are unable to meet your needs, we will connect you with a clinician who can. This is our promise. Schedule a free consultation or an appointment now.

Services are offered online and at our location(s) in Minnetonka and Eagan.

Our clinicians are trained in a variety of theoretical frameworks to treat individuals from all backgrounds and experiences, and to provide solutions around issues such as:

  • Depression

Fees, Insurance, & Good Faith Estimates

Therapy services range in prices from $150.00 - $250 per session, based on time and service. We are in-network with most major insurance companies to include: Medica, UMR, MA, UCARE, BCBS, HP, Tricare, HennepinHealth, and United Healthcare. We also accept private pay, sliding-scale, and can work with you on various payment options that fit your specific situation.

Effective January 1, 2022, a ruling went into effect called the “No Surprises Act” which requires practitioners to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” about out-of-network care. Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act (PHSA), health care providers and healthcare facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in an insurance plan or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan, that prior to service they are entitled to receive (both orally and in writing) a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges. A Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for a service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created.

Should this apply to you, your healthcare provider will gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day prior to the start of service. If you are billed more than this Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
