Meet Laura Lammar-Binder
Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist
Laura is deeply passionate about walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate life’s challenges, offering care that is grounded in warmth, understanding, and genuine connection. As a parent herself, Laura brings a lived understanding of family dynamics, transitions, and emotional demands that meaningfully shapes her work. This personal experience allows her to connect with clients in a way that feels authentic, relatable, and deeply validating—something clients consistently share makes them feel truly heard and supported.
With a lifelong love of listening to people’s stories, Laura combines her natural empathy with professional training to create a person‑centered, relationship‑focused therapeutic environment. She approaches care with curiosity and compassion, prioritizing the individual experience rather than a one‑size‑fits‑all model. Clients often describe feeling understood, respected, and emotionally safe with Laura, allowing space for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
Known for her warm demeanor and upbeat personality, Laura brings encouragement and lightness into sessions while remaining grounded and attentive to the seriousness of her clients’ experiences. She believes therapy should be both supportive and empowering—helping clients identify strengths, clarify needs, and move toward their personal goals at a pace that feels right for them.
As the spouse of a veteran who served in the Army Reserve, Laura also has personal insight into the unique stressors faced by military families. She maintains strong ties to law enforcement communities in Wisconsin, further informing her sensitivity to the challenges faced by individuals and families connected to service and high‑stress professions.
Laura’s clinical interests include maternal and paternal mental health, grief and loss, and affirming care for LGBTQI+ individuals. She earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University and is currently working toward licensure as an LMFT. Across all areas of care, Laura remains devoted to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel valued, validated, and supported as whole people.
Outside of her professional work, Laura enjoys creative outlets such as painting, crocheting, and baking. She especially treasures time spent with her family and the joy of singing playful songs with her children—small moments that reflect her belief in connection, presence, and shared meaning.
