Meet Sydney Dobrzynski
Advanced Doctoral Trainee
Sydney brings extensive hands-on clinical training in both psychological assessment and therapy to her work with clients, paired with a collaborative approach that puts the client's needs and goals at the center of every session. She primarily draws on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), weaving in emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques whenever they serve the moment. Her goal is simple: help you build a practical "tool kit" of skills and work through unhelpful patterns so you can move past whatever's standing between you and your goals — big or small.
Sydney approaches the therapeutic relationship with humility and curiosity, and she deeply values the courage it takes for clients to share the complexities of their story. Those who've worked with her describe her as personable, warm, expressive, and honest — with a sense of humor that clients consistently appreciate.
Her clinical experience spans:
Anxiety and depression
Borderline personality disorder
Life transitions and stress management
Trauma
LGBTQIA+ affirming care
Exploring gender identity and sexuality
Outside of her clinical work, Sydney enjoys spending time with her dog and unwinding with her "comfort video games" alongside friends — a reminder that she understands the value of finding small, grounding joys amid life's unpredictability.
Who she'd love to work with: Sydney is a great fit for clients who want an active, collaborative partner in their growth — someone who will meet them with warmth and honesty rather than judgment. She's especially well-suited for people navigating anxiety, big life changes, or questions about identity, and for anyone who wants a therapist who can hold space for hard things while still bringing a bit of lightness to the room.
